The corporations’ objectives are to be an active, powerful and influential consultative council which gives voice and influence for Aboriginal people in education and training.
Under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act) a corporation must have a written constitution or rule book.
The rule book contains information such as:
- the corporation’s name and objectives
- a dispute resolution mechanism for disputes within the corporation
- the number of directors’ meetings to be held each year.
