IECB chairs meet with Federal Ministers and Senators

On the 13th and 14th of September 2016 SAATECC spent 2 days with IECBs representatives  from across Australia in Canberra talking up the priorities of Aboriginal education to Federal Ministers and Senators.

Taking our voices to Parliament House! The IECBs meet with Ken Wyatt talking about priorities in Aboriginal education.

Great start to Day 2 with the IECB delegation having just met with Linda Burney, talking all things education! Commitment to continue dialogue!

Great to meet with Tanya Plibersek and Andrew Giles MP this afternoon and talk about the need for community engagement in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education! The Indigenous Education Consultative Bodies are in Canberra for a couple days’ of meetings with MPs, Senators and senior government officials.

SAAETCC and representatives from the national network of Indigenous Education Consultative Bodies just had a great meeting with Senator Malarndirri McCarthy – Northern Territory! The IECBs are meeting with MPs, Senators and senior government officials over the next couple of days to talk about community involvement in education and training. — at Parliament House, Canberra.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
